Getting Down to the Core of YOU

by Danielle on March 7, 2010

When I first got “online” a few years ago it was (and still is) incredibly overwhelming! There is no shortage of people, products or information that are designed to help you make more money, have more time, and have an endless stream of riches pouring in that you have “attracted” or that require minimal work on your part.

BAH HUMBUG! Utter and total crap! Success takes work; BUT the process can be a lot of fun~if you know what you want!

In the last year, I have unsubscribed from more lists than I care to admit, much less count. I’ve become increasingly selective in the mentors I choose and the “noise” I listen to.

Here’s the thing: unless you KNOW what is it that YOU want…what your particular recipe is; ultimately, in the end, you’re still not going to know what fulfills you.

I do not often endorse other people’s “stuff” to you, because as far as I’m concerned; you and I have a personal relationship built on trust and integrity (that is extremely important to me). I personally have to have experienced a person, product or information myself before I could, in good conscience, pass it onto you.

I happened across a video the other day because I am still on this person’s list and I have to say, it’s really good. The person in question is Frank Kern, maybe you’ve heard of him? You know, the laid back surfer dude who’s made millions in IM.

If you have any knowledge of Internet Marketing (IM), then you know who Frank is. He’s at the top of the chain when it comes to IM and a well recognized expert…and he’s good. He gives good information and he’s done a brilliant job at being…well…him and selling a $^%@load of stuff (which of course makes him a rock*tar in the IM niche)!

I do not know Frank personally, but he seems like a cool guy; he’s also a student of Tony Robbins, which makes him infinitely more cool to me;-) AND he teaches about building relationships and providing value…wow! What a concept!

When I saw this link come through I thought “Ok, ‘ole Frank is going to be discussing some selling strategies or ways to build the list, have a silly video, etc”. I was really surprised at the content of the video!

Frank is very easy to watch: entertaining, funny, salty (he doesn’t hold back in his language; this is your WARNING), and is wonderful at delivering content (as a teacher I can definitely appreciate this!).

Basically, the video is about something I am very passionate about and that is finding your “core”…or as I like to call it, your “Recipe for Life”.

The concepts in the video are not new, radical or revolutionary, but they are timely and very important. I teach these same concepts to clients myself and it’s helpful to have it presented in more than one way.

This is a long video; it’s a full presentation that is almost 2 hours; but it is worth it. As you watch and listen to the video, I suggest paying particular attention to the section where Frank talks about envisioning your “perfect average day”, that is a crucial concept; because it’s not about “THE PERFECT DAY”, but rather on average, how would you like to spend each of your days…

I am a proponent of taking an average week of what your ideal life would look like.

Think of it as your own personal Groundhog Day…each day is going to be replayed over and over again, so choose wisely Grasshopper!

In full disclosure, the link provided is an affiliate link, I don’t get paid any money, but I do get to view “Core Influence 2” if a certain number of people opt in to see the video, which I think will be pretty cool and I will share my observations about that too.

You can watch the video here or click anywhere you see different colored text in the post. I would LOVE to get your feedback and thoughts about it!
